Lunch & Learn guest Rabbi Zvi Telsner Dayan of the Yeshiva Centre
A cross section of high profile business people attended Chabad of Melbourne CBD’s latest “Lunch & Learn Lecture”. Rabbi Chaim Herzog, the shliach, introduced guest speaker Rabbi Zvi Telsner, Dayan of the Yeshivah Centre who spoke on the topic of “Fear & Fate in times of Crisis”.
During the time between Purim and Pesach Babylon consisted of people who were intellectuals interested in the sciences and all types of education. The Persian people on the other hand were very different they were either bored or acted like dictators of their own empires. If some advantages or material things were given to them they weren’t happy to receive small tokens. They wanted everting.
During the last 50 to 60 years the world has changed drastically. The granting of freedom has opened up doors, for instance no one believed that the USSR would “open up” and the wall between East & West Germany would be taken down. But along with freedom has come extremism.
Rabbi Telsner said that education is the most important way of informing and must be used. His message was, in your own private life spread love and show humanity to the world. Bring the message of Torah and Mitzvahs into the world.
